  We ended our stay at the spa which was amazing, a bit highly priced but well worth it!! All in all, I'd give it a rating of 3.9. We'd go back again for the spa and dining but never again to stay overnight. Sad because the house was beautiful and has so much potential. Just needs some tender loving care and it could definitely become the five star that maybe it once was.

  Our fine dining experience was fabulous! Everything tasted amazing, and our service was exceptional! This was about the only part we truly enjoyed.

  Overall I wouldn't recommend staying here and we won't be going back. There are much nicer places to stay for way less money.

  Our massage was not the length it was supposed to be but we were still charged full price! When booking we were told it was a 1 hour massage but ours was approximately 40/45 minutes. We showed up early like asked but we were asked to come back 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment time because they weren't ready for us. That wouldn't have bothered us if we had still gotten our full 1 hour massage, but we didn't. It seemed like they cut it short and rushed us out so they could get to the next appointment on time even though we had been on time and it was the spa running behind.

  The furniture in the house was well worn, used and unmatched. It was as if they went and bought whatever was on sale at the time and threw it anywhere in the house. Even the blinds used in the sun room seemed dated.

  Our room door also didn't lock properly so every time we stepped out we had to bring all our valuables to our vehicle. It was a bit inconvenient but the staff gave us a bottle of wine to make up for it which was a nice touch. The room itself was nice, but it looked like someone had started to repaint the walls and didn't finish. They used a different colour so it was easy to see where they had started and stopped.

  On a good note, they have awesome staff which made up for it. A waiter by the name of Sandra served us for our supper meal, and she offered excellent service. The meal was very tasty and delicious!! Highly recommend eating there!!

  Attended a wedding at the Doctor's House. They had lovely grounds for the ceremony and an outdoor stone patio for a cocktail hour. The reception was inside the barn and it was lovely. The view was spectacular and the lighting beautiful. A unique venue to say the least

  We walked around the property which was beautiful but didnt appear to be maintained. There was pieces of new wood placed in spots where it had rotted and places where wood wasnt painted and which made it stand out like a sore thumb. Seeing the chickens, sheep and goat was pretty cool though.

  Beautiful location. Secluded setting terrific fur unwinding and getting reset. Plenty of animals to engage, trails and bodies of water to enjoy.

  Was not as special as was expected. Bare minimum for money. Stayed in Whitespruce room. Evening food was spectacular with awesome service. Brandon was the server. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Service was poor. Check in & out was great. Clean rooms. Stains on towel & sheet. No garbage can in room, only one in bathroom. No milk for coffee or tea. Room was small. Mentioned that it was our anniversary, but did not receive any special treatment at all. Nice, but nothing to write home about. Disappointed really.

  The shower was very dirty! It was full of dead bugs, long brown hair, and mildew, it was disgusting! I actually had to clean it out before we could use it, not a great start to our anniversary. Our shampoo was only half full upon arrival and didn't get refilled the next day so we actually had to go looking for more. Our towels also had stains, as well as the bed sheets making them look very dirty!

  My husband and I went to the Doctors House for our 1st wedding anniversary and overall we were pretty disappointed with our experience. It was not worth the money we spent. We also sent an email regarding our issues and no one ever got back to us!

  We were also disappointed that the hot tub hadn't been mentioned, we didn't bring any swimwear and would have loved to use it. Maybe it was mentioned somewhere on the website but it was very difficult to navigate. We also had no idea there were ground tours and horse riding options.

  Stayed here for our first anniversary. Being it rated a five star I guess you go expecting a whole lot more. Was highly disappointed with our room. We stayed in the chestnut room, was told to us that it was the best room of the house however there were stains on the carpet, light fixtures didn't match and there was something wrong with the water pressure, making it pulsate. The bed was comfortable but loud. Our skylight was also quite dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. We were greeted with a welcoming appetizer tray which was lovely however I don't drink alcohol and wasn't offered another choice.
